I have designed the Printable Items with the express
purpose of conserving as much ink as possible whilst still having pleasant
stationery. To retain high quality print-out, I have saved the
graphics as .png files. This format, whilst retaining sharp
graphics, unfortunately makes for larger files than jpg or gif - You'll
have to be patient, hopefully you'll think they were worth the wait - one
or two folk using old browsers may have trouble seeing them - solution?
Update yer browser, matey! |

All Lists = 2 per page |
|
Please Note: As there's
myriad combinations of printers/printer software and graphics
viewers/programmes, there's no way I can definitely state that, or give
precise instructions for, the printable stationery to be perfect first
time - You may need to experiment a little to get it right. I
am unable to assist further in getting your settings right - It's highly
unlikely that I have the same computer/printer/software/graphics programme
combination.

|
TIP: To keep printing
costs down, first try printing the stationery without making alterations -
use paper rather than card, and black ink rather than colour while test
printing. |
| Printing offline using a Picture
Viewer |
|
Having saved the graphic to your computer, you may use
a viewer (ACDSee, for example) to open, view then print the stationery. |
| Printing offline using MS Word |
|
Having saved the graphic to your computer, you'll need
to open Word and 'insert' (or drag and drop) the graphic into the open
document. If your printer software permits a 'Preview', check the
box and see how it looks on the paper before printing. If it also
avails you of the choice of printing file properties/headers etc. uncheck
all unnecessary options. |
|
TIP: Run a test print
using black ink on plain paper. Only make changes if your stationery
doesn't print correctly, e.g. the last recipe graphic doesn't print out,
or the bottom of the list is missing. |

| Printing in AOL |
|
If you are on AOL and you use the built-in AOL browser,
the stationery will not look as sharp as it should. Be sure to disable
'compressed graphic' in your browser. |
| The best solution may be to use Netscape or IE as
your browser. Open AOL as usual, then minimise it and open Netscape or IE.
The browsers are free. |
