Frame |

1. Open the graphic you want to frame. 2. Click on Image/Resize and adjust the % to get the graphic to a reasonable size, remember that the frame will take up a fair bit of room on the stationery. 3. Click Selections/Select All then Selections/Modify/contract (a box will come up) ![]() Click Ok. A row of marching ants will now be seen 20px in from the edge of the graphic. 4. Click Selections/Invert. Now two rows of marching ants will be seen, one at the edge of the graphic, and one 20px in from the edge. 5. Click Colours/Adjust/Gamma Correction (a box will come up) set yours up like this one ![]() The edge of the graphic will become much lighter. 6. Click on Image/Blur/Gaussian Blur (a box will come up) set yours up like this one Click ok. The edge of the graphic will become very blurred. 7. Click Selections/Invert, just the centre of the graphic will be selected now. 8. Click on Image/Effects/Cutout (a box will come up) set yours up like this one ![]() This will give definition to the top and left of the frame you're making. 9. Click on Image/Effects/Drop Shadow (a box will come up) set yours up like this one ![]() 10. Click on Selections/Select None. 11. Make sure that the background colour box is a colour which isn't in your graphic. 12. Click on Image/Add Borders (a box will come up) set yours up like this one ![]() 12. Use the magic wand tool, to select the new border. Two rows of marching ants should be seen, one around the edge of the graphic/first border, one around the edge of the image. 13. Use the Dropper Tool to select a colour from your graphic, then use the Bucket Tool to flood fill the border you've just made. 14. If you want to use Textures or filters, do so now. 15. Click Selections/Invert. One row of marching ants should be seen around the edge of the first border. 16. Click on Image/Effects/Cutout (a box will come up) set yours up like this one. ![]() 17. Click on Image/Effects/Drop Shadow (a box will come up) set yours up like this one. ![]() 18. Click on Selections/Select None. 19. Click on Image/Effects/Buttonise (a box will come up) set yours up like this one ![]() 20. Open your background strip (1024px x whatever high) then click on your framed graphic, click Edit/Copy. Click on your background strip (to make it active) then click Edit/Paste as New Layer. 21. Move the graphic towards the left and top, leaving an area of background strip around the edges. 22. Click on the background layer, and flood fill with a colour from your graphic. Use filters and/or textures on the background layer. 23. Click on the graphic layer with the magic wand tool, the graphic and the background will be selected. Click on Selections/Invert so that just the graphic is highlighted. 24. Click on Layers/merge all (flatten) 25. Click on Image/Effects/Drop shadow (a box will come up) set yours up like this one ![]() 26. Select the entire stationery and crop to size. ![]() That's it.
