1. Open the graphic you want to work with.
2. Click File/new a box will come up

put your settings to the same as these.
3. From the graphic select an area with either the selection tool, which
would make a nice texture for the background.

4. Click Edit/save as new image. (make a note of the Image # of this
graphic, I refer to it again in a moment)
If your tools control box isn't open, now's the time to do it, Click on
View/tool bars a box will come up

check the Control palette box. A box will appear - this is the one you
want.

5. Click on the bucket tool.
6. Look at the Controls palette box (the one above) click on the drop down
list to find Pattern.
7. Click on the Options box The flood fill options box will come up.

8. Remember the image # from earlier? This is where it's used. Make sure
that the little preview pane has the correct graphic.
9. Click ok.
10. click on your background strip to make it active. Fill with the
bucket, and the pattern magically repeats till it fills the entire
background strip.
And there you have it.
