Using The HTML Template

The template I have enclosed uses Block Style, so when it's saved in Outlook Express with the 'Save As Stationery' command, ALL information is retained. The margins, fonts, colours etc. will all be saved as is. When you have made a background, and want to save it to use as stationery in Outlook Express, you must give it an HTML file. This template is ALL you need. I'll explain each of the things below, so you'll know which bits to alter to suit the background you've made.

<html>
<head>
<style >
BODY {
BACKGROUND-COLOR: #B8D5A3;
This sets the background colour. To change this colour, all you have to do is select a colour from your graphic in PSP5, click on the colour box to bring up the colour chart, then copy and paste the # number to where you see the # number here.
BACKGROUND-ATTACHMENT: fixed;
Fixed keeps the background in place as you read through the message. The Text will scroll.
You can change this to

BACKGROUND-ATTACHMENT: Scroll; In which case the background will scroll WITH the text as it's read.
BACKGROUND-POSITION: 0% 0%;
If you're making a full background strip, the background position doesn't need to be altered.
BACKGROUND-REPEAT: repeat;
If your background strip is fairly large, you might not need to repeat the pattern. However, it's usually best to leave this set at repeat, as other people might be using a higher resolution than you, and will therefore see more of the image.
FONT-FAMILY: comic sans ms;
You can change the font to whatever you like. Just type in the name of the font here.
FONT-SIZE: 14pt;
Change the font size here.
COLOR: #965BB5;
Change the font colour here. Remember, use the # number in your colour chart to get the exact colour you want.
FONT-WEIGHT: normal;
Change this to BOLD or ITALIC etc.
MARGIN-LEFT: 200px;
Change this by looking at your background strip, if you have used a graphic on the left, see on the ruler where the graphic ends, add 25px - 30px and type the number in here.
MARGIN-RIGHT: 20px;
The right margin seldom needs altering.
MARGIN-TOP: 40px;
You'll need to alter this if you've made a top border.
MARGIN-BOTTOM: 20px;
This doesn't need altering either.
}
</style>
</head>
<BODY BACKGROUND="C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Stationery\morepansies.jpg">
This is the path to where you have kept your graphic. It MUST be exact, otherwise the .html file won't know where to find it. If you keep your graphic with the .html file in the Outlook Express Stationery folder, you'll only need the name of the .jpg It's a good idea to name the .html file and the .jpg the same - to wit, morepansies.html and morepansies.jpg
</BODY>
</HTML>
